13th PEVS: Multi-brand vehicle distributor UAAGI showcases NEV lineup

MANILA: United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI) displayed its new energy vehicle lineup at the ongoing 13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS).

    In a statement, the multi-brand vehicle distributor said that its special stop at the 13th PEVS “reaffirmed its commitment to providing Filipinos with the latest innovations in sustainable mobility, offering a smart, powerful, efficient, and eco-conscious option for every lifestyle.”

    Here are the models displayed at the UAAGI booth inside the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

    Vehicle display

    BAIC’s B60e Beaumont REV was showcased at the event. This seven-seater full-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) comes with a has internal combustion engine and an electric motor mated to a 40.3 kilowatt-hour (kwh) battery — in range extension configuration — that gives it an overall range of 1,200 kilometers (kms).

    It also has an 800-millimeter wading depth and complementing water-wading mode, as well as a 13-speaker Infinity Audio system by Harman. The BAIC B60e Beaumont REV’s price starts at P3.398 million.

    Meanwhile, Chery brought out the Tiggo rEV Luxury Edition (LE) to the stage. The model, which recently joined the marque’s local stable, is a seven-seater plug-in hybrid SUV equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine matched to an 18.66-kwh battery.

    Its drivetrain (which is paired to a dedicated hybrid transmission) has the capacity to dish out:

    This vehicle is priced at P1.528 million.

    Under Foton, UAAGI highlighted the Traveller Sierra EV. This people carrier can move up to 12 occupants using its electric motor that gives 181 horsepower and 330 Nm and a 77.28 kWh battery that assures driving range of up to 303 kilometers.

    It is also fitted with a direct current fast charging system that juices up its energy bank in approximately one hour. This vehicle can be had at a starting price of P2.5 million.

    Meanwhile, Jetour presented the T1 and T2 Lightning I-DM models at the event, which are both plug-in hybrid offerings.

    The recently-unveiled Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM can deliver a 255-hp output (combined) and cover more than 1,200 kms (117 kms on pure electric). Among its key features are the fast charging capability (20-80 percent in 30 minutes), a dedicated hybrid transmission, and a vehicle-to-load (V2L) function. Its introductory price begins at P1.798 million.

    On the other hand, the Jetour T2 Lightning i-DM with BOSS Interior boasts a refined cabin with dark teal leather seats with neon orange branding accents and matching seatbelt detailing. The vehicle is being retailed for P2.488 million.

    Further, the Lynk & Co 08 EM-P — which has a starting price of P2.498 million — is also a plug-in hybrid SUV that can give out nearly 376 hp and 615 Nm, which can accelerate 0-100 kilometers per hour in under seven seconds. Based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standards, the electrified crossover can cover as much as 1,400 kms (205 kms in pure electric mode).

    Lastly, the Radar RD6 EM-P — which purely runs in an electrified configuration — is a pick-up truck that has an 815-mm water wading depth, payload capacity of up to 800 kilograms, cruising range exceeding 1,000 kms, and can sprint 0-100 kph in 6.3 seconds.

    The pick-up truck’s introductory price is at P1.358 million.
