Plug-in hybrid SUV boasts loads of features for the price
MANILA: Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI), under the management of United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI), has officially launched the all-new T1 intelligent-Dual Motor (i-DM).

Powertrain, chassis
Under its hood, the Jetour T1 i-DM comes with a 1.5-liter inline-four gasoline engine paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and a 26.7-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery. At maximum, its internal combustion component can generate up to 154 horsepower (hp) and 220 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. Its electric motor, meanwhile, can put out 201 hp and 310 Nm of torque.

Being a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV), Jetour’s newest sport utility vehicle (SUV) can be topped up via a CCS2 fast charging port that’s able to increase its state-of-charge from 30-80 percent in just 30 minutes. The model also boasts a total range of up to 1,200 kilometers, according to the car brand.
For ride comfort and handling, the model depends on a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear end. Braking, meanwhile, is done via disc brakes for all four wheels.

Appearance-wise, the Jetour T1 i-DM comes with the same neo-retro boxy body style as the T2. However, it is more elegant-looking - a hint towards its purpose as a “less hardcore” SUV than its beefier 4x4 sibling.
