Jetour Auto PH launches all-new T1 i-DM

MANILA: Jetour Auto Philippines Incorporated (JAPI), under the management of United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated (UAAGI), has officially launched the all-new T1 intelligent-Dual Motor (i-DM).

The all-new model is a platform sibling of the Jetour T2 that promises to provide efficiency and performance via its plug-in hybrid powertrain, as well as an enjoyable ride via its vast array of creature comforts. 

So, what is the all-new Jetour T1 i-DM offering to would-be adopters? Let’s find out here. 

Powertrain, chassis

Under its hood, the Jetour T1 i-DM comes with a 1.5-liter inline-four gasoline engine paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) and a 26.7-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery. At maximum, its internal combustion component can generate up to 154 horsepower (hp) and 220 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. Its electric motor, meanwhile, can put out 201 hp and 310 Nm of torque.

Power is sent to the Jetour T1 i-DM’s front wheels via a single-speed dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). 

Being a plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV), Jetour’s newest sport utility vehicle (SUV) can be topped up via a CCS2 fast charging port that’s able to increase its state-of-charge from 30-80 percent in just 30 minutes. The model also boasts a total range of up to 1,200 kilometers, according to the car brand. 

For ride comfort and handling, the model depends on a MacPherson strut front suspension and a multi-link rear end. Braking, meanwhile, is done via disc brakes for all four wheels. 

As mentioned above, the Jetour T1 i-DM shares the “Kunlun architecture” unibody platform with the T2. Notably, the said platform is equipped with side metal guards to protect its battery.

Exterior

Appearance-wise, the Jetour T1 i-DM comes with the same neo-retro boxy body style as the T2. However, it is more elegant-looking - a hint towards its purpose as a “less hardcore” SUV than its beefier 4x4 sibling.

Otherwise, the newer Jetour nameplate still commands plenty of road presence due to its size, 19-inch wheels, chunky front and rear bumpers, roof rails, and interesting-looking LED lighting fixtures.

Regarding its other exterior features, the all-new Jetour model also has the following:

Interior

Inside the Jetour T1 i-DM is a generously roomy cabin with space for up to five occupants. All of its seats are clad in leather, while its occupants are kept cool by an automatic climate control system equipped with rear vents, a CN95 air filter, and an air quality management system. 

For ease of use, the T1 i-DM’s front seats both get power-adjustability. Extra comfort for the front cabin is likewise provided by seat ventilation, adjustable seat back rests, and a center armrest. Only the driver’s seat, however, comes with a four-way lumbar support.

With regard to on-board entertainment and navigation, the Jetour T1 i-DM was equipped with a 15.6-inch infotainment screen that boasts 1080p resolution, and an 8155 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Sound, meanwhile, is fed into the cabin by a nine-piece Sony sound system. 

The main display also has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Topping up devices inside the vehicle is also done conveniently, thanks to a wireless smartphone charging pad, several USB ports, and 12-volt accessory outlets (one each for the front cabin and trunk).

Safety

Handling safety for the all-new Jetour T1 i-DM is a comprehensive lineup of passive and active safety features. 

For its basic kit, the model has dual front airbags, side airbags, front and rear curtain airbags, tire-pressure monitoring, cornering brake control, anti-lock braking, electronic stability control, brake assist, traction control, hill assist and descent control, and a 540-degree panoramic camera - among others. 

Its lineup of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS), meanwhile, consists of: 

• Adaptive cruise control
• Lane departure warning
• Lane keep assist
• Front collision warning
• Active braking
• Blind spot monitoring
• Rear collision warning
• Rear-cross traffic alert
• Front and rear parking radars

Price

As of its launch, the all-new Jetour T1 i-DM is offered with an introductory price of P1.798 million. Its suggested retail price, meanwhile, is set at P1.898 million. 

Packaged with each purchase of the latest Jetour SUV is a one-million-kilometer, or six-year general warranty, whichever comes first. It also comes with a 10-year engine warranty and an eight-year battery warranty.
