2024 Isuzu D-Max makes global premiere in Thailand

MANILA: Isuzu Motors Limited has introduced the 2024 D-Max in Thailand, offering improvements on exterior and interior design, advanced safety equipment, and 4x4 driving performance.

The 2024 Isuzu D-Max features refreshed front and rear designs. A power bulge has been added to the engine hood, and the front grille has been raised and expanded. The headlamps offer a modern and sporty appearance by placing the daytime running light in the upper portion and adding three character lamps. Meanwhile, the tail light design features a three-level L-shaped motif with LED tube lights.

Inside, a new U-shape is applied on the instrument panel center cluster to match the infotainment display. Isuzu’s graphical user interface is used on the infotainment and TFT displays, which has been enlarged to seven inches for a high-quality feel.

Select variants come with CoolMax seats, which are wrapped in a special kind of leatherette designed to deflect heat.

The 2024 D-Max is also equipped with a next-generation stereo camera for further safety and driving convenience. The camera can now detect oncoming crossing pedestrians if there is an object at the intersection. If it detects that the situation is risky, the brake will immediately engage.

The pickup truck also comes with a feature that assists in following the vehicle in front during traffic congestion, as well as adaptive cruise control for the manual transmission model.

Power comes from either a 1.9-liter engine that churns out 148 horsepower (hp) and 350 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque, or a 3.0-liter turbocharged engine that produces 189 hp and 450 Nm of torque, depending on the variant.

To further enhance the 4x4 performance of the 2024 D-Max, the pickup truck comes with a rear locking differential and a rough terrain mode.

Isuzu announced that sales of the 2024 D-Max in Thailand will begin on October 12. Considering that the 2024 D-Max made its debut in a fellow ASEAN country, it could possibly arrive here in the Philippines by early next year.
