All-new Mazda MX-5 RS awarded with JAHFA 2015-16 Car of the Year Award

MANILA: Mazda MX-5 Roadster is a fun-to-drive car with an array of technically updated features such as Skyactive technology. The appeal gets more intense with the rear wheel drive and the front engine layout. After receiving good recognition from the local body, Mazda MX-5 RS won the title of Car of the Year by the Japan Automotive Hall of Fame, usually called as JAHFA.

Mr. Masamichi Kogai, Mazda Motor Corporation President, said that, “the Mazda Roadster defines the strategy used in car manufacturing and we are pleased to receive such recognition from JAHFA.”

 The judging panel also took close check-in to power and fuel efficiency and the MX-5 stood distinctly in the tests, making it win the glorious title of Car of the Year. The cabin looks refreshed with seats made by premium Nappa and Alcantara leather. Additionally, the new MX-5 offers 9-speaker Bose music system and an engine sound optimizer. Apart from interior beauty, the MX-5 Roadster gets new Bilstein shock absorbers that ensure smooth handling.

Mazda Cars have been a consistent nominee for prestigious awards. Mazda 6 won the coveted title in the year 2002, and then RX-8 got recognized and now, MX-5 becomes the third Mazda car to win Car of the Year award.
