Audi Group is All Set to Launch Brand New & Revamped Models Globally

MANILA: The prestigious and globally recognized brand Audi has always offered extra-ordinary model line-ups, and had stood successful in attaining quality. Recently, the news has been floated about the Audi Group setting its target to present more than 20 models that could be the new as well as revised versions. We cannot assure the Philippines Automotive market about any launch in particular for this country. However, it is perceived to launch at a global level, where further strategies will be revealed soon. Its new year's endeavor also lists the well deserved hype received during the showcase of the concept car. That was pertaining to the Audi Prologue Concept that flaunts its potential of being light in weight, eye catchy design, with Quattro all wheel drive along with alterations on the overall exteriors.

The going has been tough, yet the company didn't lose faith at any front. The consumer's consistent and considerable demand helped it in boosting the sales volume. The intent behind introducing the new models or the revised one's is to create a competitive edge as well as to cater the different consumer/market segment. It will further look forward to step in the electrification and digitization fields. Considering the figures, the worldwide operating profit had been equivalent to 4.8 billion, where the sales return was total of 8.3% prior to the global launch of Audi A4. Mr. Rupert Stadler (Chairman: Board of Management of AUDI AG) mentioned in one of his statements that: "We successfully mastered a year of challenges. We will now invest in 2016 alone more than 3 billion for the mobility of tomorrow, and we will push forward with the electrification and digitisation of our products."

As per the resource Thai Outlook 2015, talking in perspective of Philippines Automobile Sales 2015 (Domestic) counted to be 27, 813 vehicles (calculated in the month of January). Whereas the major performing stars (in terms of sales percentage) in the Philippines had been the brands namely Toyota (43.22%), Mitsubishi Motors (18.74%), Ford (8.79%), Isuzu (7.82%) and Honda (6.69%) (Information Source: CAMPI-TMA). These automakers have excelled in achieving the highest sales target in the year 2015.

Moreover, the Audi Philippines is anticipated to be impacted by this step taken by the Audi Group. Unfortunately, the challenge for this country lies in the presence of increasing number of automobiles. So, the government has been strategizing in building more infrastructure to promote country's economic growth and boost the automobile sector all over.

In the end seeking a global outlook, the introduction of the aforementioned models will help in increasing the consumer base, will boost the economic growth, and certainly create a shift in the sales statistics on the positive side. We also speculate that the trending electric and plug-in hybrid technology will be put in usage by this esteemed brand, to create Eco-friendly as well as low emission automobiles.
