BYD PH brings EV models to 2024 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival

MANILA: BYD Philippines is bringing the Atto 3 and Dolphin electric vehicles (EV) to the 2024 Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival (AFSTDF).

Happening today at the SM Mall of Asia concert grounds along Bayshore Drive, the Ayala-led electric car brand’s booth at the ongoing AFSTDF event will help prospective car buyers better understand the unique features and technologies offered by the two electric models.

By testing the BYD Atto 3 and Dolphin for themselves, they will get to experience the nameplates’ performance and real-world cost savings.

Atto 3

The BYD Atto 3 is an all-electric crossover designed for young families and young professionals. Its range-topping model offers up to 480 kilometers of electric range and uses the Blade battery manufactured by the brand itself.

Its electric powertrain produces some 201 horses with 310 Nm of pulling power. It zooms from zero to 100 kph in 7.3 seconds.

Dolphin

The BYD Dolphin is a fully electric hatchback that is touted as an EV ideal for daily commutes and out-of-town tips. It has a 405-kilometer emissions-free range and available DC charging that makes it suitable for city dwellers seeking eco-friendly mobility solutions.

Its electric powertrain makes as much as 93 horses with 180 Newton-meters of torque. Acceleration from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) happens in 12.3 seconds. It also uses the BYD Blade battery.

“For customers' peace of mind, the BYD EV lineup distributed by ACMobility is covered by a six-year, or 150,000-kilometer, vehicle warranty, an eight-year, or 160,000-kilometer, battery pack warranty, and an eight-year, or 150,000-kilometer, electric motor warranty,” BYD wrote in a press release.

“Each BYD electric vehicle is driven by technology and innovation. BYD offers an unparalleled electric driving experience that seamlessly combines performance, efficiency, and sustainability while setting new standards among electric vehicles and allowing the public to command their future,” it added.
