CAMPI-TMA sales slows down in Apr. 2025
Last month’s retail performance fell by 17% vs Mar.

MANILA: The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) jointly sold 33,580 vehicles in April 2025 alone.

Last month, the two organizations were able to sell 33,580 units.Based on their joint report, the groups’ performance — which is part of the 150,654-unit year-to-date (YTD) 150,654-unit retail churn — is 16.7-percent lower compared to 40,306 examples rolled out to customers last March and 10-percent lesser versus the 37,314 vehicles turned over to buyers in April 2024.

While the month’s performance reflects a slowdown in sales, the organizations’ year-to-date sales volume showed a positive trajectory — a nearly three-percent-growth from the 146,920 vehicles sold in the first four months of the previous year.
In a statement, CAMPI and TMA attributed April 2025’s figures to “seasonal factors, economic conditions, or evolving consumer demands.”
“Industry leaders continue to monitor market trends and expect further developments in the months ahead,” the groups noted.

Additionally, CAMPI-TMA was able to sell 6,820 new electric vehicles from the start of the year until last month.

Group performance per category
The commercial vehicle segment kept the lion’s share of the local automotive market — delivering 119,824 units to clients and representing 79.54 percent of the groups’ overall sales in January-April 2025.

Meanwhile, the sales volume for the passenger car category continues to drop — sliding down to 30,830 vehicles during the first four months of the year from 38,820 examples in the same period of 2024.

Maintaining its leadership status in terms of sales is Toyota Motor Philippines with 71,927 units sold — cornering almost 48-percent share of the organizations’ churn — tailed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation and its 29,770-vehicle retail output.

At third spot is Nissan Philippines with 8,182 units handed over to customers.
Suzuki Philippines is still CAMPI-TMA’s fourth highest-retailing automotive distributor in the country — selling 7,002 units (4.65-percent market share) within the four-month timeline.

Keeping the fifth position is Ford Motor Company Philippines after retailing 6,728 vehicles in the first four months of the year.
