Changan to showcase 4 NEVs at MIAS 2025

MANILA: Changan Cars Philippines is set to showcase its new electric vehicle (NEV) lineup at the upcoming Manila International Motor Show (MIAS) next month. 

According to the Inchcape-led marque, it will reveal four electrified automobiles at the annual motor expo.

These — Changan Cars Philippines pointed out — will be powered by three different new energy vehicle technologies, which we have listed below:

• Plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV)
• Range-extended electric vehicle (REEV)
• Battery-electric vehicle (BEV)

The abovementioned, per the company, are all part of the brand’s effort to realize carbon neutrality and support the growing market demand for sustainable mobility.

Changan 101

Three out of the four electric vehicles that will be displayed at this year’s MIAS will bear the Changan 101 logo, which represents the brand’s family of mid-range electric vehicles. These cars are defined by characteristics such as simple, friendly, intelligent, and futuristic. 

The Changan 101 line (also known as the Qiyuan in China) offers the four below models: 

• E07 crossover/pickup truck
• A07 sedan
• A05 sedan
• Q05 sport utility vehicle (SUV)

Our guess is that Changan Cars Philippines will bring in the E07 truck and the Q05 SUV. For its sedan offering, our guess is that it will bring the sleeker A07.

Hunter REEV

With Changan Cars Philippines confirming that three of its four NEV models will be from the 101 line, it is highly possible that the brand will formally bring out the Hunter REEV at MIAS 2025. 

To recall, it was displayed at last year’s Philippine International Motor Show. 

It was shown with the below powertrain specifications:

Should Changan Cars Philippines decide to roll out the Hunter REEV, it will likely be priced under P2 million.
