Expansion is on Cards for Volkswagen, 3 New Dealerships to Open Soon

MANILA: Volkswagen Philippines is set to grow its network in the Philippines with 3 new dealerships outlets, all of them in the areas where the brand sights economic growth in upcoming months. Central Luzon and Western Visayas are the regions shortlisted by the German brand to expand its operations. With these new outlets, the brand aims to connect with people residing in these areas more closely and eventually build a new customer base in the years to come.

Overcoming the deadlock caused due to infamous Dieselgate Scandal, Volkswagen picked up quite nicely in the recent past on the global stage outclassing the world’s automotive leader, Toyota in terms of cars sold. And now it is time for the brand to shift its attention to the South Asian region particularly the Philippines.

The expansion calls for new Volkswagen’s partners to take care of the operations, which the brand has already named. The Laus Group of Companies will be responsible for the new showroom in Central Luzon built at McArthur Highway, San Fernando City, Pampanga while the Grand Canyon Multi Holdings Inc. will take control of the Volkswagen Iloilo. Last but not the least, the dealership in Bacolod City will operate under the leadership of Ponce Automobile Corporation.

At the moment there is no word on when the construction for the aforementioned showrooms will begin and what all features will they have to keep incoming customers engaged. However, considering the existing showrooms across the country, we expect it to be world-class in every aspect.

Adding to this, the company’s CEO in the Philippines, John Philip Orbeta said that they are eyeing a 40% rise in the overall sales as compared to what they registered in 2015. New showrooms and new cars coming in could surely help the German brand to make a mark in the society in the coming years.
