Grab PH partners with Colgate-Palmolive to honor drivers’ resilience amidst challenging times

MANILA: As part of Buwan ng Tagapaghatid, a month-long celebration honoring the contributions of its driver-partners to the community, Grab Philippines partners with Colgate-Palmolive to celebrate the Grab community's resilience in trying times and to highlight the lives and goals of the driver-partners beyond the steering wheels.

With the help of the inspirational stories of its Grab driver partners, Colgate and Grab Philippines hope to inspire confidence and optimism in Filipinos, giving them the strength to smile in the midst of any obstacle.

Through its partnership with Grab Philippines, Colgate-Palmolive has a brand-new, interactive opportunity to uplift thousands of Filipinos and therefore spread positivity throughout the entire country.

Grab and Colgate-Palmolive aim to inspire passengers by showcasing examples of optimism in action. These examples include a driver-partner who doubles as an entrepreneur and sells his passengers baked goods, as well as stories of a law student who works as a Grab driver at night to support his studies. One remarkable story is that of Benjie Estillore, a 52-year-old Grab driver-partner who was inspired to fulfill his desire of going to college after frequently driving by local schools. Estillore talked about how challenging it was for him to get a job after only completing high school. He took a risk despite his age and enrolled in school during the COVID-19 pandemic, juggling it with his responsibilities as a Grab driver-partner. Estillore now feels closer to fulfilling his goals for a better future, proving the importance of perseverance and hard work.

Through this partnership, Grab passengers will see several prompts during their passenger journey that will introduce them to a Colgate Smile Strong driver's personal story after they have booked a ride. Once inside, a QR code can be scanned to watch a video narrating the driver's inspiring story of conquering their obstacles.

Passengers who share their experiences on Facebook and Instagram will receive discounts and vouchers for Colgate products on GrabMart. Furthermore, passengers can also join a raffle that will give away 10 months' worth of free Grab rides and special Colgate gift packages. Each Colgate Smile Strong vehicle also offers free Colgate samples.
