Hybrid performance
Front and center at the HCPI pavilion is the all-new Honda Prelude, launched locally not too long ago.
Enthusiasts who missed its Philippine debut can catch the hybrid two-door coupe at the 10th edition of PIMS.

Distribution of power is facilitated by a continuously variable transmission with a shift-by-wire system and paddle shifters.
Notably, the enthusiast’s car packs Honda’s S+ Shift technology, which, according to the brand, simulates an eight-speed transmission.
When activated, S+ Shift allows the right paddle shifter to simulate upshifts while it transforms the left paddle to mimic rev-matched downshifts.
As such, it offers a fun-to-drive experience without cutting one’s experience of being “one with the machine.”
Electrified utility
Those seeking more space and better utility can find what they are looking for with the Honda CR-V e:HEV.
It offers comfortable seating for five, with a boot space that can accommodate up to 581 liters (L) of cargo.
Propulsion is provided by a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors. Power delivery is handled by an electronically continuously variable transmission.

Its hybrid powertrain is comprised of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor that generates 129 hp and 127 Nm of pulling power.
