Honda to debut 3 prototypes at JMS 2025

MANILA: Honda Motor Corporation Limited will conduct four world premieres at the upcoming 2025 Japan Mobility Show, which is scheduled to open to the public on October 31, 2025. 

Not many details for the aforementioned debuts were shared by the brand just yet, but they will include the following: 

• New Honda 0 Series prototype
• Compact electric vehicle (EV) prototype
• Electric motorcycle concept
• Honda e-MTB (mountain bike) prototype

Notably, the upcoming Honda 0 Series prototype is a follow-up to the 0 Saloon and 0 sport utility vehicle (SUV) prototypes presented at the Consumer Electronics Show 2025. 

As such, we can infer that the new prototype vehicle in this series could be a smaller crossover or a hatchback. Regardless of what it is, it will likewise come with the Asimo operating system (OS) just like the two previous Honda 0 Series vehicles. 

The Compact EV prototype, on the other hand, will showcase the Japanese brand’s intention of making new energy vehicles (NEV) “fun to drive.” Interestingly, the carmaker disclosed that the yet-to-be-named EV prototype is already undergoing road testing in Japan, the United Kingdom, and select Asian countries. 

The electric motorcycle, meanwhile, is said to defy conventional ideals. In the case of the e-MTB, it will be the herald of a “power-assisted” high-end mountain bike that Honda plans to produce in the near future.

Other Honda JMS booth highlights

Apart from the four world premieres mentioned above, Honda will also showcase an experimental version of its “sustainable rocket” at JMS. The actual rocket previously achieved a successful launch in June 2025, while utilizing renewable fuel. 

Additionally, the Honda JMS booth will also show off the all-new Prelude e:hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). Likewise sharing the limelight with the hybrid two-door coupe is the N-One e: all-electric kei car, which was recently introduced to the Japanese market on September 12, 2025. 

Last but not least are the CB1000F and CB1000F SE sport bikes. The two, per Honda, are planned to go into production soon.
