Here’s what to expect at the Japan Mobility Show 2025

MANILA: The Japan Mobility Show (JMS) 2025 is set to kick off from October 30-November 9, 2025, at the Tokyo Big Sight in Ariake, Tokyo. So, what can event goers expect from the said mobility show?

First off is the confirmed list of participating passenger car, motorcycle, and commercial vehicle brands. The aforementioned are taken from the official JMS website and are accurate as of September 10, 2025.

Mobility Culture Program

Apart from showcasing the latest and greatest products, participating car brands at JMS 2025 will show off their lineup of iconic vehicles from the past. The aforementioned is accessible to the public at Tokyo Big Sight’s East 7 Hall and the East Parking Area. 

Specifically, classic cars will be displayed along with off-road driving demonstrations by sport utility vehicles (SUV). Supercars, special-purpose vehicles, camper vans, and even scale models will be available for viewing as well.

Tokyo Future Tour 2025

The JMS 2025 will also provide a glimpse into the future of mobility via the Tokyo Future Tour 2025. 

Per the JMS website, the said program will work together with participating mobility brands to offer “insights into future trends, focusing on developments that are timely yet forward-looking, in a timeframe of 10 years.” 

Topics that will be touched upon in this part of JMS 2025 will include digitalization, the use of artificial intelligence, as well as many other information and communication technologies. 

One specific example of technologies to be shown off at this part of JMS 2025 will include the Skyroad - a vision of how aerial mobility will transform cities and roads. 

Startup Future Factory

JMS 2025 will also host the Startup Future Factory, which will highlight products, services, and technologies that were developed and produced by over 120 startup companies and university-sponsored groups. 

Out of the 120, only 30 companies will be picked to compete in the preliminary rounds of the “Pitch Contest and Awards” program. 

Executives from the Japan Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (JAMA) will also hold a special session titled “The Future is Created Together.” The aforementioned will open talks that will discuss their respective “visions for a prosperous and dream-fulfilling mobility-based society.”
