Inchcape PH to launch Changan Eado Plus

MANILA: Inchcape Philippines is set to introduce the Changan Eado Plus this month.

According to Chinese automaker’s automotive distributor, the aforementioned model will have its official local launch on March 25.

Expected to be one of the brand’s volume drivers, the Eado Plus is set to be the Changan’s sole sedan passenger vehicle entry in the country — replacing the Alsvin.

Per Changan Philippines, the country-bound model will be offered in two variants: Lite and Luxe.

“With its stylish and sophisticated design, spacious and comfortable cabin space, and intelligent driving technology, the model is the perfect daily driver that will provide a feature-packed and value-for-money vehicle for Filipinos,” Changan’s local arm noted.

Not much details have been shared at the time of posting, but here’s what the Philippine-spec Changan Eado Plus might have based on what Zigwheels Philippines drove last month during a trip to Chongqing.

Powering the Changan Eado Plus abroad is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline-fed engine mated to a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

Upon checking online, the model can provide the following figures:

In terms of aesthetics, the Changan Eado Plus boasts a modern look with its three-dimensional grille, a protruding on its lower front bumper, side sills, flowing body lines, 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 215/50 series tires, and sharp-looking taillamps connected by a chrome garnish.

Other probable features that this car could have are electronically adjustable side mirrors with heating function and a sunroof.

Meanwhile its cabin comes with leather upholstery, dual digital screens (slightly angled towards the driver), numerous bottle holders, and a full-length console with armrest.

We are also looking forward that the Changan Eado Plus to have a wireless charging dock, 13.2-inch infotainment system, 10-inch digital gauge cluster keyless entry, push start function, and an engine remote control.

Since we are expecting that this model will be competing in the price-sensitive subcompact sedan segment, more hard plastics might be seen in the interior.

The Changan Eado Plus’ pricing — along with other pertinent details— will likely be shared during the launch date.
