Jaecoo J5 EV reaches PH market 

MANILA: Hot on the heels of the successful launch of the J5 HEV (hybrid electric vehicle) at the recently concluded Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines debuted the J5 EV (electric vehicle) at the ongoing 10th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). 

Per Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines, the introduction of the J5 EV further strengthens its growing sport utility vehicle (SUV) portfolio and highlights the brand’s commitment to bringing intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions to Filipino consumers. 

“Building on the strong market reception of the Jaecoo J5 HEV at MIAS 2026, the fully electric Jaecoo J5 EV arrives in the Philippines following encouraging sales performance and growing popularity in several Southeast Asian markets,” Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines wrote in a press release. 

“The model has attracted attention for its premium SUV design, advanced technology, and practical electric mobility features tailored for modern urban lifestyles,” it added.

Jaecoo J5 EV notable features 

While it is essentially the electric vehicle sibling of the Jaecoo J5 HEV, it does sport some features that separate it from its hybrid stablemate. 

Specifically, it is driven by an all-electric powertrain comprised of an electric motor that produces 208 horsepower, with a 58.9 kilowatt-hour battery that delivers a driving range of up to 461 kilometers on a single charge. 

In addition, the SUV also features a comprehensive suite of 19 advanced driver-assist systems, six airbags, and an advanced 540-degree all-terrain view camera system, which per Jaecoo Philippines provides drivers with enhanced confidence, visibility, and safety across various driving conditions. 

“Combining refined SUV design, intelligent connectivity, advanced safety technologies, and next-generation electric vehicle engineering, the Jaecoo J5 EV reinforces the brand’s vision for a smarter, safer, and more premium driving experience,” Jaecoo Philippines noted. 

Variants, promo 

Following the introduction of the Luxury variant for the Jaecoo J5 EV, the carmaker’s local wing confirmed that a Comfort variant will soon be added to the local lineup, providing customers with a more accessible option and greater flexibility across the range. 

At the time of writing, the Jaecoo J5 EV stickers for P1.4 million. 

To celebrate its Philippine debut, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines will introduce seven exclusive buying offers available to customers who reserve the Jaecoo J5 EV during the show:

To further strengthen customer confidence in its electrified products, Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines will provide the Jaecoo J5 EV with a comprehensive warranty package that includes a seven-year or 200,000-kilometer (km) bumper-to-bumper vehicle warranty (whichever comes first), as well as an eight-year or 160,000-km battery and electric motor warranty (whichever comes first), underscoring the brand’s commitment to quality, reliability, and long-term ownership satisfaction. 

Jaecoo J5 EV at PIMS 2026 

The Jaecoo J5 EV will remain on display at the brand’s booth at PIMS 2026 until June 7 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City.
