MIAS 2026: Jaecoo J5 SHS-H makes PH public debut in 6 pictures

MANILA:  Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines Incorporated (OJPH) has publicly launched the J5 SHS-H at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2026—months after it entered the country.

Revealed through AIMOGA, the brand’s state-of-the-art robot, the unveiling of the said nameplate signaled a new era where intelligent technology and driving pleasure come together.

The latest addition completes the marque’s new-energy-vehicle line for the local market—joining its plug-in hybrid and battery-electric-powered stablemates.

Outside, the Jaecoo J5 SHS-H wears the brand’s waterfall front grille and a distinct “Mountain Road” illumination — combining off-road-ready looks with elegance.

Powering the vehicle is its 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline hybrid system that can generate:

This powertrain lets the model reach 100 kilometers per hour from rest in 7.9 seconds.

Combined with its battery pack and 51-liter fuel tank, the Jaecoo J5 SHS-H can cover a little under 1,000 kilometers (980 km, to be more specific). Additionally, the model boasts a fuel consumption of 23 kilometers per liter.

Further, it comes with 35 nooks and crannies throughout the cabin and offers class-leading 82.8-percent space utilization.
