In 8 pictures: Isuzu PH introduces the updated D-Max

MANILA: Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has showcased the updated D-Max at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) 2026. 

The aforementioned was displayed together with several modified D-Max, Traviz, and mu-X models. Per the brand, all of these which are said to be “built for those who follow a different path.”

Notably, these showcase the versatility of the Isuzu marque, with offerings that meet the needs of people who prioritize reliability, capability, efficiency, and purpose when choosing vehicles.

At PIMS 2026, IPC’s centerpiece for its booth is the updated D-Max. The LS-E variant is displayed in its stock form, while another LS-E was dressed up with RealTruck accessories, including a fully automatic truck bed cover with an integrated bike rack, a cargo bed pull-out tray, a roof rack, side steps, and a rugged wheel package featuring Black Rhino wheels and Nitto tires.

Another D-Max, specifically the single-cab version, received an all-black paint job and was equipped with URBN ARMR accessories from Centro. According to Isuzu, this unit shows how the D-Max can combine brusque functionality and aggressive styling. 

Like the previous version, the updated model uses a 3.0-liter turbodiesel mill that produces up to 187 horsepower and 450 Newton-meters of torque. Depending on the trim, the engine is paired with a 4x4 drivetrain and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. 

Minute updates to its appearance include a new front grille design, a new pair of Bi-LED headlamps, new bezels for its front fog lamps, redesigned sidesteps, and a new set of 18-inch matte dark gray metallic aluminum wheels. 

Its interior, meanwhile, comes with a 10.1-inch high-definition touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The model also comes with a suite of advanced driver-assist systems (ADAS). The said ADAS suite is supported by a new around-view monitor with underbody viewing,  a digital video recorder (dashcam), and the Gen 4 Smart Duo Cam. 

For now, IPC has yet to announce the price range of the updated Isuzu D-Max, so stay tuned.

Other Isuzu models at PIMS 2026

Also on display at the booth is the Isuzu Mu-X, which was made more appealing by Overland Kings, who fitted it with an ARB Nitro+ suspension setup, a MOMO steering wheel, Mammoth Overlanding accessories, and a set of Nitto tires. For this build, IPC and Overland Kings sought to showcase a vehicle suited to both family use and urban exploration. 

Last but not least is the Isuzu Traviz, which was upgraded with practical modifications visor, fog lamps, and retro-style wheels from Concept One Wheels. 

Also showcased at PIMS 2026, specifically at the outdoor section, are other Isuzu commercial models such as:

• Isuzu FVR34 Crane Truck
• Isuzu Traviz Mobile Kitchen
• Isuzu Traviz JSPEC Refrigerated Van

For those who want to see IPC’s lineup at PIMS 2026, the said model will run until June 7, 2026, at the World Trade Center Manila in Pasay City.
