Isuzu D-Max Boondock is en route to the Philippines

MANILA: If you’re an automobile nerd, you must remember the D-Max Boondock that Isuzu rolled out in the year 2010, do you? While the special D-Max in 2010 featured aesthetic updates only to allure more customers, in 2019,

Isuzu Philippines is all set to present us with a treat too delicious to miss out. En route to the Philippines is the all-new 2019 Isuzu D-Max Boondock, an Isuzu flagship pickup with both aesthetic and mechanical updates that will make the pickup nothing but a mean machine.

At 2018 PIMS, Isuzu displayed a unique D-Max, and the same concept is going to come out in the flesh soon. What’s more? The production model would be even better! The changes on the outside will include roof rails, steel step boards, fender extensions,

rocker panels, bed liner, and a cargo height extender. Moreover, the ground clearance will also be up by 12 mm at 247 mm. The addition of off-road dedicated 17-inch alloys clothed with 265/70R17 all-terrain tyres should assure you to take the pickup on unearthed trails.

In terms of stuff under the hood, the 2019 Isuzu D-Max Boondock is expected to get its power from the same 3.0-litre 4JJ1-TCX Blue Power engine that makes 180 PS of maximum power along with 380 Nm of peak torque. It is to be seen whether the D-Max Boondock will come equipped with a manual or an automatic gearbox.

While the pricing of the 2019 Isuzu D-Max Boondock is not revealed yet, the dealers in the Philippines have already started accepting bookings. However, considering the fact that it will be a flagship product,

we expect the price to be somewhere above the Php 1,700,000 mark, which is the price that the D-Max 3.0 LS 4x4 retails at in the Philippines. The 2019 Isuzu D-Max Boondock is said to launch by the end of May 2019. Until then, why not check out the Isuzu D-Max XTR?
