Never too late to celebrate quattro de Mayo with Audi

MANILA: Whatever date it is of the year, we believe it’s never, ever too late to commemorate quattro de Mayo and what better way than some cutouts from Audi.

Since we all know there’s still some time left in our enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), let’s get to cutting and making mini models of Audi’s most iconic sports cars.

There is the 1980s Sport quattro S1 rally car, the very first unit that used Audi’s quattro technology. So dominant was its performance that it transformed rally racing and quattro was called “the unfair advantage” when it was introduced in touring car racing.

Another unit is the famous Audi R8 used by Tony Stark in the Iron Man movies. It’s a mid-engine supercar, equipped exclusively with a 5.2-liter V10 engine in its current generation. With quattro, it’s capable of reining in its 602hp and is as close as Audi can get customers to a road-going race car.

Finally, there’s the Audi e-tron. With 40 years of all-wheel-drive know-how to develop all-electric technology, this is the unit that takes quattro to another level. Two electric motors power all four wheels and can deliver up to 402hp of power and 664Nm of torque.
