It's the Jaguar F-Pace, Know it and Own it

MANILA: With DNA of legendary Jaguar, the F-Pace debuts at 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. Marked as the automaker's first official crossover, the F-Pace earns excellent scores on practicality, usability, dynamics, and styling. By remaining absolutely true to the designing principles, the F-Pace can be considered as most attractive and ultimate practical sports car. Well.. we know the curiosity is building and the curtains demand to be raised. So, here we go..

In swings, on RECORD

A very unusual way of unveiling is racing through the largest loop-the loop in air on 19.08 meter high 'O'. Yes, Jaguar has choose it that way to fire the launch of its F-Pace wherein the famous stunt driver, Terry Grant drove it on the loop, making it truly incredible. This unique way not only marked Jaguar's 80th anniversary year but this stunt is also inked as Grant's 22nd Guinness World Record, stampings the first golden launch page of Jaguar F-Pace journey.

The looks, the captivating looks

The F-Pace speaks melodious Jaguar's current design language with some styling cues from brand's current models. The front resembles the recently launched XE with large grill, aggressive bumper, and sharp-looking headlights. The side has sloping roofline, chiseled lower body and distinct 22-inch alloys in corners. The rear looks aesthetic with diffuser-integrated rear bumper, sleek taillights, dual exhausts, and roof mounted spoiler. The F-Pace is 4731 mm long and carry wheelbase of 2874 mm while the height and width are 1650 mm and 2070 mm respectively.

The entire new world inside

This 5-seater crossover has ample legroom and headroom for rear passengers and for their luggage, 650-litre of boot space. With 40:20:40 folding ratio of seats, the boot space expands further to gulp all your belongings. Some other feature to make your journeys comfortable include four-zone climate control, 8-inch infotainment system screen, wi-fi hotspot, navigation, USB ports, 12V charging ports, and 12.3-inch HD display which plays the role of instrument cluster.

Power beneath the bonnet

The F-Pace entrails 2 diesel motors and 2 diesel gasoline power plants. The diesel driven mills include 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre units where the former deliver 180 PS and latter deliver 300 PS. The smaller unit is tuned with either RWD (manual) or AWD ( optional automatic) and the bigger unit is connected to an AWD system.

The gasoline power plants include 2.0-litre 240 PS motor in connection to an automatic gearbox and RWD system. The bigger 3.0-litre engine cranks out two power outputs, 340 PS and 380 PS when paired with an automatic gearbox and AWD system. The claimed time to cover 0 to 100 km/h is 5.1 seconds and the top speed is 250 km/h.

The technical connections for tech minds

Some technically superior features imbibed in Jaguar F-Pace are Configurable Dynamics that can individually set each key powertrain/chassis features of the F-Pace, Adaptive Surface Response (ASR) which optimizes the powertrain to certain road/terrain surfaces, and Intelligent Drive-line Dynamics that preserves the fun factor of a RWD vehicle but allows torque transfer to the front wheels if necessary. Using the Lightweight Aluminum Architecture, the F-pace will be available in following variants, Pure, Prestige, Portfolio, R-Sport, S and First Edition.
