Japan Sees New Toyota Sienta

MANILA: Yes, it is Sienta, not Sienna. The Japanese brand, Toyota Motors Corporation come with a new sibling of Sienna in the same minivan segment and the coincidence is this that they almost share their names but definitely the new Sienta is a lot better and stylish. Adding more to the quirkiness is the fact that car's design is inspired by the shape of shoe and that too not a normal one, a trekking shoe.

The Sienta has wide-open grille, generous front and rear bumpers with black plastic trimming, massive grille, and swept back headlights. At the rear it has distinctive taillights and roof mounted lip spoiler. Thus unlike other boring minivans, this one has a sporty look. Appeared in Air Yellow color, makes us remind that the Sienta will be offered in other eight body colors which should be equally vibrant.

Coming inside the car, it has an option of 5, 6, or 7-seat configuration along with such cabin styling that is pretty simple and sober. There is a 4.2-inch color TFT LCD display that can be used to interact with the infotainment system.

Powering the Sienta are two engine options; one is standard and other is hybrid. The first is a 1.5-liter gasoline unit that pumps out 109 PS while the hybrid unit is a combination of 74 PS gasoline engine and an electric motor that generates total output of 100 PS.

Talking about the price, it comes with a price tag of 1,689,709 Yen which means 6,23,160 PHP approximately. But the Filipinos have to wait for Sienta to roll down the Philippines road before checking their accounts.
