JAPI attributed its strong performance to the robust demand for its electrified offerings. Around 90 percent of its total sales—1,399 of the 1,553 units sold—for the initial five months of 2026 were nameplates that push sustainable mobility.
Spearheading the sales rally is the Jetour T1 Lightning i-DM, which combines modern hybrid technology, strong road presence, premium features, and competitive value.
To note, Jetour’s electrified journey in the Philippines commenced with the launch of the Dashing Lightning i-DM and X70 Lightning i-DM in March 2025. This was followed by the introduction of the T1 Lightning i-DM and T2 Lightning i-DM.
Furthering its reach, JAPI started to tap the premium market with the unveiling of the Jetour Gaia subbrand—bannered by the G700.
“Consumers are clearly responding to JETOUR’s direction and our growing electrified vehicle line-up,” JAPI Sales Director Nikko Sayson explained.
“The strong performance of the T1 Lightning i-DM proves that the market is ready for smart and accessible hybrid mobility, while the introduction of the Jetour Gaia reflects Jetour’s commitment to expanding into the premium segment with products that combine innovation, technology, and lifestyle appeal,” he added.
Relatedly, JAPI is inviting the public to visit its booth at the upcoming 10th Philippine International Motor Show, which will start tomorrow (June 4) until Sunday (June 7) at the World Trade Center, Pasay. There, the company will showcase its electrified range, test-drive select models, and enjoy special trade-in offers and event-only promotions.
