Jetour Dashing PHEV to arrive in PH soon?

MANILA: Jetour Auto Philippines seemed to have teased its upcoming model on a Facebook post.

The post only included a close-up photo of the model's grille and headlight with the caption, “Transforming your journey soon. Get ready for a drive that transcends expectations, a celebration of sophisticated style, craftsmanship, and unparalleled refinement.”

The headlight shown on the photo looks similar to that of the Dashing, so there is a possibility that this could be a new variant of the compact crossover.

To note, Carmudi Philippines reported in August 2023 that Jetour Auto Philippines Managing Director Miguelito Jose confirmed that the plug-in hybrid version (PHEV) of the Dashing will arrive in the country soon.

Introduced at the Auto Shanghai 2023, the PHEV version of the crossover, known as the Dashing i-DM, is powered by a turbocharged engine combined with a dual motor driving system. It has an all-electric range of up to 100 kilometers.

The Dashing i-DM can produce up to 321 horsepower and 545 Newton-meters of torque.

Currently, the Dashing is offered in only one variant in the Philippines. Under its hood is a 1.5-liter turbo engine mated to a six-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.

The Philippine-spec Dashing is characterized by its eye-catching front grille and sleek lines. It is also designed with a stylish and modern interior that comes with a 12.3-inch smart LED infotainment display, a 75-inch sunroof, and ambient lights.
