Kia PH, Unionbank team up for flexible payment solutions

MANILA: Kia Philippines has inked a collaboration with UnionBank of the Philippines for the bank’s PayEasy program.

The latest initiative offers credit card installment plans across all Kia models nationwide namely the recently-launched Sportage Turbo Hybrid, Sorento, Carnival, Sonet, EV5, EV9, Seltos, Soluto, and K2500. 

In a statement, the ACMobility subsidiary noted that the program is aimed at making the Korean carmaker’s offerings more attainable to local vehicle buyers.  

“Our focus at Kia Philippines remains rooted in delivering purposeful innovation and exceptional service that integrates into the lives of Filipino motorists,” Kia Philippines Managing Director Jose Marie Lopez said.

For his part, UnionBank External Vice President and Cards and Consumer Loans Head Mukul Sukhani expressed pride over the newly-forged partnership.

 “Our collaboration with Kia Philippines comes at the perfect time as we continue empowering our UnionBank customers with more accessible and convenient financial solutions through UnionBank PayEasy and UnionBank Auto Loan. This partnership is all about enhancing the customer experience–making it easier for our cardholders to enjoy greater flexibility, convenience, and peace of mind when managing their purchases, “ he explained.

Flexible terms 

Under the program, Kia vehicle buyers may opt installment terms of 3, 6, 12, 24, or 36 months using their UnionBank credit card. These terms are accessible across physical dealerships and designated online processing channels.

Meanwhile, those who prefer a single transaction can choose straight charge. Per Kia Philippines, the program complements traditional financing as customers applying for a conventional UnionBank Auto Loan can unlock special perks while choosing to settle their vehicle’s upfront down payment through UnionBank PayEasy installments. 

“This dual-pathway approach ensures that whether buyers are financing the entire vehicle or simply managing the initial down payment, they can maximize their credit card rewards and financial flexibility,” the company explained.

Further, Kia Philippines expressed firm belief that the partnership will provide momentum to high-value automotive sales.

 “Offering installment via UnionBank PayEasy is a reflection of how seriously we take our responsibility to the Filipino motoring community. When the right partners come together with the same intentions, great things happen, and today is proof of that,” Lopez noted.
