Lamborghini Revuelto SV breaks cover

MANILA: Automobili Lamborghini introduced the Revuelto SV—the fifth model to wear the iconic Super Veloce (SV) name.

Unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, the model is said to represent the latest iteration of the supercar marque’s V12 super sports car.

Reserved for the brand's most loyal customers and collectors, the Lamborghini Revuelto SV will be limited to 1,963 examples—a tribute to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded. 

“Revuelto SV takes the potential of Revuelto to an even higher level, building on a car that has already set a new benchmark in terms of performance and driving precision,” Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Stephan Winkelmann said.

“Every element has been developed to make the experience behind the wheel even more intense, direct, and engaging. Exclusivity, technical perfection, and pure driving pleasure reach their highest expression in this car. It is Lamborghini DNA in its purest form: a super sports car conceived to push beyond the limits and deliver uncompromising emotions,” he added.

Based on the standard Revuelto, the newest SV offering follows the launch of the Aventador SV in 2015. The nameplates that form part of Lamborghini’s celebrated SV lineage include:

Vehicle specifications

Powertrain

As the most powerful and fastest-accelerating production Lamborghini ever built in Sant'Agata Bolognese, the supercar is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with three electric motors and a new high-performance battery.

Mated to an eight-speed double-clutch gearbox, this powertrain configuration produces 1,050 horsepower (hp)—49 hp more than the standard Revuelto—and 1,425 Newton-meters of torque.

This allows the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 2.4 seconds and reach 200 kph in less than seven seconds before reaching a top speed of more than 345 kph. 

The powertrain also has the new Pilota mode, which offers three drive modes, namely:

• Strada mode: for everyday use
• Sport mode: sharpens the V12 engine’s response and improves vehicle dynamics
• Corsa mode: provides minimal traction control and maximum power

Activated via a dedicated rotary knob on the steering wheel, Pilota mode unlocks a highly customized driving setup built around a bespoke five-stage traction control system derived directly from Lamborghini’s GT3 racing experience.

Further, hot gases exit through the sport-tuned exhaust system, which features two tailpipes available in three finishes:

Exterior

Outside, the Lamborghini Revuelto SV comes with the “Speedshape” side profile and the vertical Omega design at the front, which widens the stance and gives the vehicle a strong presence. It also features black accents and a redesigned SV logo on the sides and rear, as well as a diffuser with red lines and a functional rear wing to balance aerodynamics and downforce.

Additionally, the side profile features Shiny Silver-painted wheels—20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear—fitted with bespoke Bridgestone Potenza tires. 

Other exterior features include:

• Rear Lamborghini typography in shiny black, matte black, or matte bronze instead of shiny silver
• Angled fin on the front bumper
• Gurney flap
• Race-car-inspired single-nut wheels
• Cooling channel for the rear brakes

According to Automobili Lamborghini, the Revuelto SV delivers 80 percent more total downforce than the Revuelto, a 10-percent improvement over the Aventador SVJ, and 60-percent better downforce-to-drag efficiency than the Revuelto. 

Interior

Inside, the Lamborghini Revuelto SV highlights the latest-generation Lamborghini dashboard and steering wheel, featuring motorsport-layout controls. 

It is also outfitted with ultra-lightweight carbon-fiber door panels and specially developed racing seats, including standard sport seats with a carbon-shell structure or optional monocoque carbon-fiber race seats.

Moreover it is offered in Nero Ade leather, among other leather options, with a selection of 12 contrasting leather colors covering the seats, center console, carpets, and dashboard.

Further, the model has Revuelto SV-specific graphics and animations in the user-experience design. Among them are:

• Emotive animation of the Revuelto SV on the display
• New Pilota mode selector in red on the right side of the steering wheel to activate different levels of traction-control settings
• ANIMA (Adaptive Network Intelligence Management) selector lever in red

Moreover, the Lamborghini Revuelto SV is equipped with GT3 racing-derived suspension and new CCM-R Plus carbon-ceramic brake discs.

Notably, the supercar has more carbon-fiber components than the nameplate’s previous iterations.

Fastest production car at Hockenheimring

The Revuelto SV set a lap record for a production vehicle at the Hockenheimring circuit, with a lap time of 1:41.6 set by Lamborghini factory driver Marco Mapelli.
