Leaked Images of Facelifted Toyota Avanza

MANILA: Yet another product of the Toyota family which underwent the beautification process is the Avanza, as confirmed from the latest video uploaded on Youtube. The word Avanza is basically a Spanish word which in English would mean 'move' and seeing the updates the car has received, it feels the car will surely move and win hearts of all Toyota lovers.

The standard Avanza whose design updates include swept back headlights which flow into larger trapezoidal grille, refurbished front bumper with lower air intakes, and a chrome bar connecting the headlights. The Avanza Veloz which is the top end variant of this model has separate large air dam, round fog lamps, projector headlights, slimmer upper grille, and downturned lower grille to make it look distinctive. The rear ends of both the variants receive updated tail lights which are again connected by chrome bar.

While talking about interiors, the video tells the details of changes applied, the new touchscreen infotainment system is clearly visible along with the revised gear lever and surrounding gear box. There is a revised instrument cluster with new brown fabric upholstery and a headrest on the second row center seat. For more safety, the three point seatbelts have been integrated and to enhance the prime feel, the Veloz has all black interiors.

Also reported by an automotive portal, AutonetMagz, that Avanza could receive Dual VVT-i technology. Although, the exact details of engine are not surfaced but one of the chances are of the 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i petrol mill or of the current 1.5-litre VVT-i engine to be seen under the hood. In the order of their mention, there performance figures read as 92 PS/ 119 Nm and 104 PS/139 Nm. Soldering to the mills to wheels would be the five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions.
