Lexus will debut ‘SPACE’ at the 2026 Milan Design Week. What car inspired the Lexus ‘SPACE’?
The Lexus ‘SPACE’ was inspired by the LS Concept.Scheduled to be up from April 21-26, the aforementioned installation (which was inspired by the LS Concept seen at the Japan Mobility Show 2025) will be presented alongside four new works from Discover Together 2026.
To note, the Lexus LS Concept has a strong resemblance to the LM, as it comes with a boxy fascia. Giving would-be occupants a good view while inside the cavernous interior is its panoramic glass-sized windshield.

Toyota also has yet to share what drive modes will the prototype have but as far as what was seen at the event last year, the Lexus LS Concept comes with six wheels (with the two at the front larger than those at the rear).
‘SPACE’
Per Lexus, “SPACE” is shaped by its continuous pursuit of going beyond expectations and centers on the Lexus LS Concept to explore the meaning of “space” in the context of a modern luxury lifestyle.
“Today, the automotive industry is transitioning from the traditional concept of the car to a new era of mobility and a future that will deliver freer movement and enriched lifestyles. Work, personal life and movement are becoming increasingly and seamlessly interconnected, empowering people to pursue lifestyles that can feel more authentic and fulfilling,” the premium automotive marque noted.
“In this future, mobility transforms from simple transportation into a new experience that reimagines space itself. ‘SPACE’ is an opportunity to discover a new vision of mobility that is yet to be defined,” it added.
Discover Together
On the other hand, Lexus’ “Discover Together” is a collaboration between emerging creators and the brand’s in-house designers that transforms the marque’s vision and philosophy from their own perspectives into works that express new values.
