Lotus Robotics reveals V1 chassis

MANILA: Lotus Robotics has unveiled the V1 chassis at the ongoing 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

According to Lotus’ robotics division, the V1 chassis can offer unlimited scalability and will act as the foundation of the brand’s autonomous driving software.

In addition, the V1 chassis will be able to offer a modular architecture, electric vehicle battery, and will be available in different sizes.

Lotus Robotics’ V1 chassis is part of a range of hardware and software solutions designed and engineered to increase the adoption of self-driving technology, the carmaker said.

“We are thrilled to be showcasing our latest products in North America for the first time. As adoption of self-driving technology accelerates, we are seeing a strong demand for our solutions here and see this as a key market for us to tap into in 2024 and beyond,” Lotus Robotics Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Li Bo commented.

In addition to the V1 Chassis, Lotus Robotics also showcased its suite of “Robo” technologies at CES 2024.

Robocube for example, is an intelligent cleaning robot designed to create cleaner spaces, improve efficiency, and increase safety in cities. It features a full stack of Level 4 autonomous driving software that can be used in any environment.

Robo Soul, on the other hand, is a full self-driving software stack, which can be integrated into any vehicle, in any environment. Equipped vehicles, Lous Robotics pointed out, can perform driving tasks such as parking and highway driving, under specific circumstances, with human override as an available option.

Meanwhile, Robo Galaxy is a range of cloud-based tools that underpin Robo Soul. It can collect data from multiple sources such as sensors, road information, and algorithms.

Finally, Robo Matrix is a system that uses real-time monitoring to provide drivers with remote safety including guidance, control, and parallel driving solutions. Robo Matrix also uses artificial intelligence to continually learn from its environment and improve the safety and accuracy of its self-driving.
