MIAS 2017: Hyundai Genesis G90 revealed

MANILA: Along with its Urban SUV, the South Korean automaker, Hyundai has also presented its flagship sedan, Genesis G90 at the ongoing MIAS 2017. Yes, the luxury flagship sedan from the South Korean automaker has finally landed in the Philippines. The Genesis G90 is elegant and powerful at the same time. Starting from the front, the large slatted chrome grille and tapered LED headlights gives aggressive appearance to the G90. The body of G90 is made up of 51.7-percent Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS) which ensures rigidity and strength.

The distinct character line that runs the entire length of the car and multi-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels further adds to the premium quotient in a significant manner. At the back, the Genesis G90 features LED taillights which are inspired from the Vision G Concept. The chrome finish on the trunk lid completes the rear design. The overall dimensions of the sedan measure 5,205 mm X 1,915 mm X 1,495 mm (L X W X H) and the wheelbase measure 3,160 mm.

In the cabin, the upholstery is made up of Nappa leather while the entertainment needs are catered by a 12.3-inch touchscreen display on the center console and two 9.2-inch display for the rear seats. The other features of the Genesis G90 include three-zone climate control, double soundproof glass, wireless smartphone charging, lexicon 17-speaker Quantum Logic surround sound system and power adjustable front and rear seats.

Under the hood, the Genesis G90 is powered by a 5.0-litre Tau V8 engine which delivers 425 PS maximum power and 520 Nm peak torque. The engine is further mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Safety measures of the sedan include 9-airbag system, lane departure assist, blind spot detection, front and rear sensors.

 

The Genesis G90 is priced at Php 7,528,000 and available in Marble White and Onyx Black color options.
