MIAS 2024: GWM PH expands lineup with Ora 03

MANILA: Great Wall Motor (GWM) Philippines expanded its lineup with the launch of the Ora 03 electric car.

The Luxuriant Automotive Group, Incorporated-led brand rolled out the GWM Ora 03 electric vehicle (EV) with a fashionable, iconic, and eye-catching design.

“Today marks a significant milestone not just for GWM, but for the Philippine market as well. Since we launched, our goal has been to provide automotive products that will respond to the needs and wants of every Filipino. So far, I believe we are successful in doing so,” said GWM Philippines Product Planning Manager Fritz Gerald De Ocampo.

Exterior

At the fore, the GWM Ora 03 wears a pair of round full LED headlamps complemented with similarly round daytime running lamps. The lower front fascia gets a honeycomb latticework with two chrome accents on each side.

The side profile is simple and straightforward with seamless lines, body-colored handles, as well as body-toned pillars. Breaking the uniformity is a set of chrome wheels that goes well with the exterior appliques found all around the EV.

Its rear end boasts an inconspicuous rear spoiler with a third break lamp neatly tucked under. It also gets a long light bar below its rear glass as well as thin yet stylish taillamps. No exhausts here but one can find a Formula 1-style rear light incorporated in the diffuser.

Interior

Inside, the GWM Ora 03 packs modern features such as a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and a wireless phone charger. Also included are leather seats, front seats with ventilation and massage function, and automatic climate control.

Power

Powering the GWM Ora 03 is an electric motor that makes as much as 169 horsepower with 250 Newton-meters of torque. It can be paired with either a 48 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery pack with a range of 310 kilometers (km) or a 63kWh battery pack with a range of 420km.

Tech

In terms of safety, the GWM Ora 03 gets a comprehensive list of technologies including airbags, seatbelts, an anti-lock brake system, electronic stability control, hill-start assist control, roll movement intervention, and traction control, to name a few.

Offered in two variants, the GWM Ora 03 is priced from P1.288 million (400 variant) to P1.778 million (500 variant).

GWM Philippines also wowed eventgoers with its other displays which are the WEY GaoShan and Haval MengLong plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, Haval M6, as well as the Tank 300.
