Mitsubishi opens MI-Playground showroom in Tokyo

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) officially opened its new headquarter showroom called MI-Playground (My Playground), near its Tamachi headquarters in Tokyo last September 1.

Working in accordance with its brand message worldwide, “Drive Your Ambition,” Mitsubishi Motors is dedicated to manufacturing vehicles that meet the needs and demands of customers who want to pursue new challenges or extend their field of experience.

The new showroom headquarters functions as an area of inspiration and engagement — presenting the innovations, culture, and identity of the Mitsubishi brand.

MI-Playground involves a concept wherein everyone can enjoy and experience this particular platform, where “M” represents Mitsubishi Motors, and “I” signifies "interaction," "ingenious," "inspiration," and "intelligent."

MI-Playground serves as an indication of the company’s commitment to continually enhance customer experience, which feels progressive, adventurous, and intimate.

The facility is expected to offer an exciting experience for visitors to test drive the new Mitsubishi models and to feel more connected to the brand.

The overall look pays tribute to the heritage of Mitsubishi and offers a contemporary and clean design through the corporate colors of the brand, namely black and white, used as base colors and accented with a wood pattern to offer a sense of nostalgia and warmth.

The newest Mitsubishi models will be shown at the clean and expansive showroom area on the ground floor. This is where visitors will be able to have hands-on experience. Car workshops and concept car displays are part of future plans for the improvement of the showroom.

The satellite area is situated on the second floor, which comprises a lifestyle space. The pedestrian deck that is directly connected to the Shibaura exit of JR Tamachi Station can be accessed. Guests can also relax and enjoy some refreshments such as sweets, fruits, and organic tea.
