Nissan PH appoints Kanazawa as president

MANILA: Yoshinori Kanazawa is set to be the next Nissan Philippines president effective April 1.

The upcoming executive will take over the top post that Masao Tsutsumi vacated after being appointed as the new Nissan ASEAN president and Thailand.

Currently serving as Managing Director of Nissan Importers Business Unit, ASEAN as well as Managing Director of Nissan Singapore International (which is based in Thailand). 

Kanazawa is bringing to the table nearly two decades of experience within the company — taking key leadership roles across Japan, China, and other international markets. 

His role includes corporate planning, product planning, and dealer network development. 

Prior to his current role, he held senior positions within Nissan China and its joint ventures, where he contributed to strategic planning and dealer network expansion.

Meanwhile, Tsutsumi (photo below) succeeded Toshihiro Fujiki, who has been promoted to Corporate Executive, Global Aftersales, Nissan Motor Co.

During his tenure as Nissan Philippines president, Tsutsumi led initiatives that strengthened the firm’s market presence and sustained brand momentum. 

He also worked closely with the organization and dealer partners to reinforce the company’s network and enhance Nissan customer experience.

In a statement, Nissan Philippines thanked Tsutsumi for his leadership and contributions to the company.

Further, Kanazawa’s official inauguration will take place  following his qualification under Philippine laws and confirmation and election by the Nissan Philippines Board of Directors.
