Omoda, Jaecoo PH to hold official brand launch this month

MANILA: Will the formal launch of Omoda and Jaecoo push through this year?

This as the marques’ local arm sent a save-the-date invitation to Zigwheels Philippines for the marques' official introduction set on February 18.

“Omoda and Jaecoo’s global automotive engineering innovations are ready to hit the Philippine streets,” the company stated in the invitation.

Should the official brand launches take place, customers may expect that the Omoda and Jaecoo will go all-out on their operations in the country.

To recall, the distributor of the two brands (which are both Chery Auto subsidiaries), have announced their official brand launches as early as 2023. They have also participated in various motoring events such as last year’s Manila International Auto Show and the Autofocus Pre-Christmas Test Drive.

Earlier, Omoda and Jaecoo has opened their dealerships in the country at the following locations:

• GMall along A. Soriano Avenue in Cebu City
• Marcos Highway, Pasig City

Meanwhile, Jaecoo Philippines has already brought in the EJ6 in December 2024 that have the following specifications:

With the aforementioned and an all-aluminum body, the Jaecoo EJ6 can reportedly accelerate 0-100 kilometers per hour in less than seven seconds. Jaecoo Philippines will likely announce its pricing at the brand launch.
