Peugeot CDO launched Peugeot 308 in the Philippines

MANILA: Peugeot Cagayan de Oro has  recently launched the latest version of Peugeot 308 at the company’s showroom along Masterson Avenue in Upper Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City. The car was launched in front of the bankers and media professionals by the Peugeot Philippines Marketing Manager, Karen Carbajal, Sales Director Harris Regellos, Peugeot CDO Sales Manager Mary Ann Ocio, and Carol Neri who represented Misamis Oriental Governor Yevgeny Emano.

The new Peugeot 308 is a sharply designed car which has been meticulously developed, said Peugeot Marketing Director, Karen Carvajal. The changes include slim headlamps, sculpted bonnet, signature LED ‘claw effect’ rear lights, and a 20 mm lower center of gravity than the previous model. All these changes lead to a more aggressive look of the Peugeot 308.

The officials also said that before the launch, the car had a test run of two million miles, which ensured that the car has been developed under an uncompromising approach to meet the quality standards. From the lightweight materials to full grain leather steering wheel, all details have been given utmost attention to come up with an ultra-durable vehicle.  

Mary Ann Ocio, Sales Manager of Peugeot Cagayan de Oro said with its sharp design, Peugeot 308 is certainly to get noticed wherever you go. Engine configuration is expected to be same as the previous model which includes one 1.6-litre petrol engine with 150 hp maximum power and 240 Nm peak torque while the other is a 1.6-litre diesel engine with 120 hp maximum power and 300 Nm peak torque. Both the engines are coupled to 6-speed automatic transmission.

The new prices are not revealed by the company yet but, it is expected that it will hold the same sticker price as the previous model. It was Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak replica, which gained significant attention by the Filipinos at PIMS 2016 and now it is new Peugeot 308, which will again bring the French automaker into the limelight.
