Pump price update: Gas down, kerosene up today

MANILA: Fuel companies have once again adjusted pump prices at 6 a.m. today.

In separate advisories, gasoline prices in Shell, Seaoil, Petron, Phoenix Petroleum, PTT Philippines, Petro Gazz, Total, Flying V, Cleanfuel, and Chevron (Caltex) dipped by P0.10 per liter.

On the other hand, Shell, Seaoil, Petron, Flying V, and Chevron announced that kerosene prices went up P0.15 per liter.

No adjustments in diesel prices were made.

The fuel companies stated that the oil price modifications mirror the movements of oil in the global market.

Oil declined significantly in Asia due to the continuous increase of COVID-19 cases worldwide, and this continually outshines the possibilities for a demand recovery.

West Texas Intermediate crude for August delivery decreased to US$40.67 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange today. Brent crude for the September settlement increased by 14 cents, as it reached US$43.28 per barrel.
