Spied Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3
MANILA: The road version of Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 was recently spied again and this road version surely differs from its track version, which was recently seen at Nurburgring Nordschleife as a part of its development process. In these spy shots, the car looked near to production stage and some announcement from Mercedes can soon be expected.
By seeing these spy shoots, one thing is very much clear, that at a lot of work has been done on its exterior in order to improve its aerodynamics. From its front profile the AMG GT3 has got looks of a beast that further gets enhanced by the front spoiler, its aggressive looking headlamps, huge chrome finished front grill along with the ventilated front fenders. Moving towards the rear side, like its track version it also features a rear spoiler, along with an exhaust positioned in the middle of the restyled diffusers. In addition to this, the air intakes are in-line with the cunning looking tail lights. The black low profile alloy wheels on which it stands further compliment the whole look. This carbon fiber bodied beast gets its power from the standard GT 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 which is expected to roll out 550 hp of power.
Though, it is speculated to be profiled as an AMG GT Black Series, but the chances seems to be slimmer as Mercedes introduces Black Series version of a car only at its later life stage. With its current name AMG GT3 appears to be competing with Porsche 911 GT3, but it is believed that Mercedes is planning to drop the GT3 tag at the time of its launch.
As for now, there is no information regarding its official launch, but if the recently released 20 sec video saying 'something fast is coming' by Mercedes indicates towards AMG GT3, then it could be expected to be reveled soon.
