Suzuki PH looks to continue strong Q1 sales into Q2

MANILA: Suzuki Philippines, Inc. (SPH) capped off the first quarter of the year with positive sales performance.

Based on recent data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), Suzuki showed continuous sales growth despite restrictions brought by the community quarantine and the COVID-19 pandemic. In a release, SPH said its performance proves the brand’s sustained commitment in providing the best automotive products and service to the Filipinos.

In the first four months of 2021, the local automotive market sold a total of 95,197, reflecting a 34% increase versus the same period last year. Suzuki moved a total of 6,390 units, marking growth of 65% versus the 3,879 units sold in the first four months of 2020.

Suzuki also started the second quarter on a positive note as it landed in third spot among best-selling automotive brands in the month of April. Year-to-date (YTD) sales showed the company was able to maintain its fourth spot. The Suzuki Ertiga led the brand’s sales for the first quarter of 2021, moving a total of 1,544 units. It was closely followed by the trendy S-Presso hatchback with 1,204 units sold. The ever-reliable Suzuki Carry took the third spot, moving a total of 1,177 units.
