The Chery Tiggo 8 gets thumbs up from Filipino celebrities

MANILA: Filipino personalities Sam YG, Phoemela Baranda, and Aubrey Miles recently shared their experiences on why they have chose the new Chery Tiggo 8, a midsize seven-seater SUV, for their lifestyle — a mix of travel, fitness, sports, fashion, and food adventures.

Similar to any consumer, these celebrities appreciate the great value that the Chery Tiggo 8 provides.

For them, the midsize SUV is equipped with ample space as well as an increased number of safety, convenience, and luxury features in an easy-to-drive and cost-efficient package.

The turbocharged 1.5-liter DOHC VVTi engine of the Tiggo 8 has earned a nod from the three celebrities mentioned, and it's interesting to note that all of them have made their mark on the racing track. The engine produces a torque of 250Nm and has Eco and Sport modes to customize engine responses according to the needs to the driver.

The top-of-the-line engine is mated with a six-speed double-clutch transmission (DCT), which gives the Tiggo 8 the fuel economy, control, and performance of a manual with the clutch pedal-less comfort and convenience of an automatic transmission.

The Tiggo 8 earned appreciation from Aubrey, Phoemela, and Sam in terms of its on-road performance. They admire its high ground clearance for occasional trips on rugged roads, comfortable ride, secure handling, and the confidence-braking seen on the four-wheel disc brakes with anti-lock braking system (ABS) and electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).

Phoemela stated on her Instagram post, “The Chery Tiggo 8 is a premium seven-seater SUV that comes with a smartwatch key that's definitely useful for people who always forget their keys—myself included—and apart from that, it's like an assistant around your wrist. With just a couple of taps, it controls the locks, windows, trunk, and even the air-conditioning system.”

The smartwatch key appears as a sleek fitness band and it has a rubber strap as well as a digital display that provides seven main functions that manage the different settings of the car remotely. It also serves as a fitness band since it takes pride in heart rate monitoring among other functionalities of a fitness tracker.

Phoemela added, “The other feature of the Tiggo 8 that I really like is the panoramic sunroof because it gives me that extra sunlight and I love to see the view. Its 10-inch monitor helps me make use of the 360 panoramic view camera, which makes driving and parking around the city so much easier."

The Tiggo 8 has one of the market’s largest screens — a 10-inch ultra-high-definition (UHD) LED touchscreen Bluetooth infotainment system, touchscreen controls for the air-conditioning system, and a seven-inch fully digital instrument panel.

It also utilizes wireless mobile phone charging, multiple USB ports, aerial-view 360-degree super-definition rear-view camera, and Bosch’s new-generation ESP9 three-stability system.

Aubrey Miles, a “plantita,” expressed her utmost thrill regarding over its interior space (on top of the smartwatch key).

She said on her Instagram post, “My other favorite thing about the car is its very spacious truck capacity; all of my new plants fit with no problem — you guys know how important that is for me.”

He said, “I personally love the luxurious interior and easy-to-use media panel! The suspension, space, stability, and style are nothing short of impressive and are perfect for a daily drive. It's definitely a bang for your buck!"
