Toyota bZ4X BEV gets approval from LTO

MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is gearing up to go “beyond zero” after the Land Transportation Office has released homologation papers for the bZ4X battery electric vehicle (BEV). 

On that note, we may soon see a fully-electric car enter TMP’s stable. 

Based on the paperwork filed by the country’s land transport bureau, the Philippine specifications of the Toyota bZ4X BEV consist of two electric motors paired with a lithium-ion battery. The said setup puts out the following figures: 

Maximum power output front, rear (in horsepower)	223, 118
Maximum speed (in kilometers per hour)	160
Maximum range (in kilometers)	456

As for its charging time, the amount it takes to juice up the power pack is listed below: 

• Alternating current charging: seven hours 
• Direct current charging: 28 minutes 

Dimension-wise, the Toyota bZ4X BEV headed to Philippine shores has the below measurements: 

Overall length, width, height (in millimeters [mm>)	4,690 x 1,860 x 1,650
Wheelbase (in mm)	2,850
Ground clearance (in mm)	200

The approved specifications for the Toyota bZ4X BEV also suggest that it will be fitted with 20-inch tires shod in 235/50 series tires.
