The Thai-spec Toyota Yaris Ativ HEV is a subcompact five-seater sedan. The teaser comes mere days after Zigwheels Philippines broke the news of its upcoming arrival in the country. Although the name of the model wasn’t stated outright, some of the blue-colored letters on its “achieve the electrified vision” tagline clearly spell out the name: “Ativ.”
As with most teasers, not much of the car was shown. Instead, it focuses on the sharp L-shaped daytime running lamp and headlamp cluster of the vehicle. At the same time, one can also see the edge of the car’s grille.

Apart from the coyly placed clue that it is indeed the Ativ HEV, the Japanese marque’s local arm didn’t provide a launch schedule for the model. The social media post, however, did say that it is “coming very soon.”
To note, we also speculated that the "Ativ HEV" might fit in as the hybrid counterpart of the Toyota Vios, similar to how the Zenix is related to the Innova. It was not made clear by the teaser, however if the Ativ HEV will be adopting the Vios name.
So, what can we expect from the upcoming Toyota Ativ HEV? Well, let’s check out the Thailand market version while waiting for more details from TMP.
