Practical
All the previous generations of Toyota Hiace have been benchmarks in terms of interior cabin space, and this generation being the largest of them all when it comes to dimensions, the new Hiace surpasses all of them. The new MPV has the best in class legroom and headroom, thus imparting great in-cabin comfort.
The brand Toyota has always been synonymous for the aspects of reliability and quality, and the Hiace falls in the bracket as well. The after-sales service support and costs are pocket-friendly for a vehicle of this size and dimensions, which makes the maintenance of Toyota Hiace in the long run quite an easy task.
Lacks safety features
The Toyota Hiace has always been one vehicle which preferred function over form, by keeping the aspect of looks and design on the backseat. And while Toyota has made great efforts in making the Hiace look contemporary, it still looks boxy and utilitarian, especially from the outside.
The in-cabin comfort of the Toyota Hiace might be great, however, when it comes to cabin design and dashboard, it feels basic and plain jane. For a vehicle of its cost and size, the feature setlist too is quite short, which makes it look and feel very simple.
Being a large and boxy vehicle, the Toyota Hiace is not a vehicle which is meant to be driven enthusiastically. The high center of gravity means body roll at higher speeds, which makes driving the Hiace more suitable for lower speeds.
