Here is a ‘sensible’ piece of advice from Yamaha Mio Gravis ambassador
Motorcycle gets 2 new colors

MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) recently launched its new campaign highlighting the Mio Gravis scooter as a “sensible choice” for today’s discerning riders.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
What powers the Yamaha Mio Gravis?
Tha Yamaha Mio Gravis uses a 125 cc engine with a CVT.What are some of the notable features of the ciity scooter?
The Yamaha Mio Gravis is equipped with a front fuel lid, the Yamaha Y-Connect system, and a digital instrument cluster, to name a few.On that note, the local wing of the Japanese motorcycle company has again tapped Mikee Reyes, who in 2023 (report from Carmudi Philippines), stepped in as the ambassador for the nameplate.

Giving his advice to Filipino motorcycle enthusiasts, Reyes said that it is important to leave home early, as most accidents happen when riders try to rush to their destinations.
“I try to remind myself, hindi porket nama-motor ako I can be late. Kailangan ko parin agahan to make sure I get to my destination [on time> (I try to remind myself, not because I ride a motorcycle I can leave home late. I still need to leave early to make sure I get to my destination on time),” Reyes commented.
“And also, when you get to your destination, ayaw mo nung na-i-stress ka diba? Stressed yung itsura mo. For me, it’s really that, and a lot of patience when you’re riding a motorcycle (and also, when you get to your destination, you don’t want to be stressed. You look stressed. For me, it’s really that, and a lot of patience when you’re riding a motorcycle),” he added.
Reyes, alongside Kiko Matos, launched a motorcycle podcast. You can check out the video, here.

Chiming in, internet personality Ninong Ry added that motorcycle riders might want to change their fueling habits and refuel their rides on their way home instead of when they are heading out.
“Isa pa… magpa-gas kayo pauwi, huwag paalis (one more thing… refuel when you are on your way home not when you are leaving),” the food vlogger stated.
“Sa motor kasi, mas madalas tayong mag-pa gas sa motor e. Napaka-liit na bagay nun pero I’m sure meron sa inyong makakagamit ng tip na yun (we gas up more frequently with motorcycles. It might not seem to be much, but I’m sure someone here can use that tip),” he concluded.
Yamaha Mio Gravis ‘sensible’ features
Living up to YMPH’s marketing move, the Yamaha Mio Gravis is packed with a handful of features that make it a sound choice for motorcycle riders who value “safety, reliability, and performance.”

Ensuring that riders can easily juice up the Yamaha Mio Gravis’ 4.2-liter (L) gas tank is a front fuel lid arrangement. Instead of having to lift up the seat and expose the contents of its 25-liter underbox compartment, one can simply pop up the cap for more convenient refueling.
To note, this feature is also available from Honda Philippines Incorporated’s Giorno+ retro scooter.

Keeping riders connected is the smart Yamaha Y-Connect system, which allows seamless integration of one’s smartphone with the motorcycle.
Those who use the said technology can reap the following benefits:
- Fuel consumption tracker
- Riding data
- Motorcycle notifications
- Bike diagnostics
- Parking location
Power comes from a 125 cubic centimeter engine mated to a continuously variable transmission. Below are its performance figures:

As part of celebrating the new campaign, Yamaha gave the Mio Gravis two new hues, namely Matte Brown and Dark Gray.
It also slashed P9,000 off its sticker price, which will now set back motorcycle buyers just P84,900 (originally P93,900).
