Yamaha Motor PH quietly brings in ‘updated’ XMAX

MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) has quietly brought in the latest iteration of the XMAX.

The aforementioned offering — which entered the local market following the grand reveal of the all-new Yamaha Nmax — comes with updated convenience and technological features.

Zigwheels Philippines confirmed that the aforementioned automatic transmission two-wheeler is already available in dealerships during a recent ride from Cabanatuan to Baguio using the recently-launched NMAX.

Here are some bits of information about the recently-introduced Yamaha XMAX.

Similar to its predecessor, the spruced-up Yamaha XMAX has the following measurements:

It also retained its basic design elements such as the X-motif on the front and rear fascia that ensure the model’s aggressive look.

Just like the previous offering, the new Yamaha XMAX sits on 56P and 62P tubeless tires.

The main difference between the old and new Yamaha XMAX is that the latest version now comes with an electronically-adjustable windscreen (instead of being manually altered) as well as a new instrument panel that combines a 4.2-inch thin film transistor and a 3.2-inch liquid crystal display and an improved backlighting.

Per YMPH, the TFT display has an onboard navigation system that can be utilized via the Garmin StreetCross app that can be downloaded on the rider’s mobile device.

The new Yamaha XMAX also has an adjustable handlebar, underseat compartment that can fit up to two full-size helmets and a USB Type-C socket that can juice up devices while on the road.

Powering the 2025 Yamaha XMAX is the reliable liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-valve, single overhead cam 292-cubic centime mill that can produce as much as:

• Maximum output: 28 horsepower
• Peak torque: 29 Newton-meters of torque

The said mill is mated to a V-belt automatic transmission with automatic centrifugal dry clutch.

Ensuring the vehicle’s stopping power are the hydraulic single disc brakes with anti-locking system and traction control while its suspension systems are made up of a telescopic fork (front) and a unit swing (rear).

Further, the new Yamaha XMAX has a smart key as standard.

Available in ceramic gray and sword gray color options, the latest product is priced at P311,000.
