Aprilia brings out SR GT 400 at EICMA 2025

MANILA: Aprilia has formally entered the midsize scooter segment with the introduction of the SR GT 400.

Unveiled at the EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Cicli Motocicli e Accessori) 2025 in Milan, the brand’s latest product is eyed to handle both urban commute and adventurous journeys.

“Aprilia brings its racing expertise to the world of medium-displacement GT scooters, with a vehicle designed for those who want to be unstoppable, tackling every day with style, performance, and total freedom,” the company said in a statement.

Here are some details about the latest sporty product from Aprilia.

The Aprilia SR GT 400 tapes in at:

It wears an entirely new chassis that guarantees “precise on-road handling and control on off-roads.

Complementing this are the 16-inch wheels for the front and 14-incher for the rear (both wrapped in knobby tires) as well as its suspension made up of an upside-down front fork and dual shock with reservoir at the back.

Tipping the scales only at 186 kilograms, it is also considered lightweight compared to the other models in its class.

Propelling the motorcycle is a single cylinder, four-stroke, four valve, 400-cubic centimeter engine mated to a continuous variable transmission (CVT) that can deliver nearly 36 horsepower (with a weight-to-power ratio of seven kilograms per kilowatt). These numbers are bound to give riders exceptional responsiveness.

Controlling the mill’s churn are floating front discs with radial calipers and two-level traction control.

Among its list of amenities are:

• Keyless system
• Anti-lock braking system
• Underseat compartment can accommodate a full-face helmet
• Five-level windscreen
• 12-liter fuel tank
• Plastic knuckle guards

In the Philippines, the Aprilia is retailing the SR GT only in 200cc version. This model comes in three trims — with a starting price of P248,000.
