KEY TAKEAWAYS
How much horsepower and torque can the Honda WN7 produce?
The Honda WN7 can produce up to 67 horsepower and 100 Newton-meters of torque. What is the range of the Honda WN7?
The Honda WN7 can cover up to 140 kilometers on a single full charge.Per the Japanese marque, the WN7 is its first-ever naked sport bike produced and developed under its electric two-wheeler brand direction. It follows the EM1 e: and CUV e: electric-powered scooters, which are both now sold in the Philippine market.
Powertrain
As shared by the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, the WN7 uses a motor-inverter unit that can produce up to 67 horsepower and 100 Newton-meters of torque. Power, on the other hand, is sent to the two-wheeler’s rear wheels via a belt-drive system.

For charging, the WN7 uses a Type 2 port with a fast charging feature that is able to increase its state-of-charge from 20-80 percent in just 30 minutes. Concerning range, its 9.3-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery provides 140 kilometers on a full charge, according to the World Motorcycle Test Cycle (WMTC).
Like most electric vehicles (EV), the Honda WN7 comes with a regenerative braking system with adjustable deceleration, and a “walking speed mode” with a reverse function. The aforementioned is touted by the brand as a useful tool when navigating heavily populated paths or tight parking spots.

Frameless design
Unlike most motorcycle modes that use a frame, the Honda WN7 depends on its centrally positioned aluminum battery case as its main structural component. The aforementioned, Honda says, eliminates the need for a frame, thus resulting in a sleeker design that is touted to be lighter and more flexible.

In addition, the Honda WN7 comes with a horizontal LED light bar, a two-tone color scheme with black accents, dual front and single disc brakes, a 43-millimeter (mm) inverted front fork suspension, and an aluminum cantilever Pro-Arm rear swingarm suspension.
The model’s lineup of convenience, safety, and comfort amenities includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Five-inch TFT display
- Type C USB
- Honda RoadSync
- Drive mode selector
- Selectable speed limit assist
- Engine immobilizer
Availability
As Honda shared, the WN7 will be produced at its Kumamoto Factory in Japan. The model will be released in a “sequential” manner in markets where the “electrification shift is advancing.”

As mentioned above, the EM1 e: and CUV e: are already offered by Honda Philippines Incorporated locally, so we’re hoping that the WN7 will also follow suit.
