Yamaha Motor PH highlights next-gen Aerox in Fastest: Unlock your Speed Davao City

MANILA: Yamaha Motor Philippines has featured its latest lineup of motorcycles, including the next-generation Aerox, the R-Series, and other models, at the “Fastest: Unlock your Speed” event. 

Held in Davao City last month, the said event breaks from the norm of other motorcycle test drive opportunities for the public as it commenced the “The Speed Test Ride.” Per its name, it encouraged the riding public to experience the agility and performance of the Yamaha lineup via a safe but thrilling race track course formed on the parking lot of SM Lanang. 

The next-generation Aerox SP was specifically highlighted on The Speed Test Ride via the appearance of Yamaha Racing Team stars McKinley Kyle Paz, April King Mascardo, and two YClub members. The four riders took out the Aerox SP for a speed run at the track to wow the crowds and demonstrate the next-gen scooter’s capabilities. 

The indoor section of the Fastest: Unlock your Speed also displayed the Aerox and Aerox SP, along with the following Yamaha models: 

• Sniper 155
• YZF R15M
• YZF R3
• YZF R7
• YZF R1M

Yamaha Aerox in PH

The next-generation Yamaha Aerox was introduced to the Philippine market in August 2025. Currently, it retails at P125,900 for the Standard trim, and P163,900 for the top-spec SP. 

Propelling the next-generation Aerox is a 155-cubic-centimeter (cc), liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, single overhead cam (SOHC) BlueCore engine that can generate up to 15.1 horsepower and 14.2 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. 

The model is also equipped with the Yamaha Electric continuously variable transmission (Y-ECVT) technology, which provides the motorcycle with a three-level downshift control system. 

The all-new Aerox’s powerband is also managed by Selectable Sport and Touring Modes, an upgraded 30-millimeter inner tube front fork and rear sub-tank, single-channel anti-lock braking, front and rear disc brakes, and a 4.4-inch thin-film transistor full color display - among other features.
