All-new Aerox makes PH regional debut at Yamaha Motor Show Cebu 2025

MANILA: The ongoing Yamaha Motor Show 2025 in Cebu served as the launch pad for the all-new Aerox in the Visayas region.

For the three-day event (which started today September 12), the spotlight of SM Seaside’s Main Hall is beaming towards the automatic transmission motorcycle for the public to see.

Aside from that, riders can also test the two-wheeler at the designated test drive area located at the mall’s Mountainside Wing.

Feel the adrenaline only Yamaha can bring,” Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) Marketing Communications Senior Supervisor Jenifer Perey said.

To recall, it was just last month when the all-new Aerox made its Philippine debut at the opening leg of this year’s Yamaha Motor Show held in Makati.

Motorcycle specifications

Here’s what riders will have should they get the all-new Aerox.

On paper, the all-new Yamaha Aerox tapes in at:

Now sporting a more aggressive look, the all-new Yamaha Aerox features an extended front fascia, giving it a look comparable to the XMAX. Aside from that, the vehicle rides on 14-inch wheels wrapped in tubeless tires.

Under the rider’s seat is an updated liquid-cooled, four-stroke, four-pot single overhead cam, single-cylinder, fuel-injected,155 cubic-centimeter Blue Core engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) that can dish out:

Maximum output (in horsepower)	15.1
Peak torque (in Newton-meters)	14.2

The top-spec variant is equipped with Yamaha Electric CVT (Y-ECVT) technology (which is also found in the NMAX Techmax that was introduced in the country last March). This part gives it a three-level downshift control for a more precise handling.

Based on the homologation records from the Land Transportation Office can reach speeds of up to 110 kilometers per hour.

Aside from that, the all-new Aerox also has Selectable Sport and Touring Modes that adapt power delivery for either dynamic sprints or relaxed urban rides.

Complementing the powertrain are the upgraded suspension system (upgraded 30-mm inner tube front fork and rear sub-tank), as well as the refreshed braking system (single-channel anti-lock braking system and new rear disc brake).

Among the features slapped on the top-tier version is the 4.2-inch thin-film transistor full color display that can show:

• Lap tracking
• Commute data
• Animated RPM (revolutions per minute) waveforms
• Integrated turn-by-turn navigation through Google Maps, real-time fuel consumption, engine diagnostics, maintenance reminders, and even the last parked location (enabled via Yamaha’s Y-Connect app)

Among the standard and optional features that the all-new Yamaha Aerox offers are the following:

• Smart Key system
• Yamaha Stop and Start System
• 5.5-liter fuel tank
• 24.5-liter underseat storage
• Built-in USB-C socket
• Yamaha R-Series inspired cockpit

• Traction control system
