The 2026 Honda Rebel 300 will help new riders drive like a pro

MANILA: Honda has just announced its 2026 Rebel lineup — led by the nameplate’s entry in the 300-cubic-centimeter (cc) displacement category.

According to the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer, upcoming  Rebel 300 “enhances convenience for all riders”, thanks to the Honda E-Clutch technology.

Given this, motorcyclists — those who are learning to try manual, transitioning from automatic, and even seasoned riders — are expected to enjoy this updated cruiser.

Here are some details about the 2026 Honda Rebel 300 E-Clutch.

Motorcycle specifications

The 2026 Honda Rebel E-Clutch is equipped with a single-cylinder, four-pot, double overhead cam (DOHC), liquid-cooled, 286-cc mill.

As the name suggests, the motorcycle is paired with a six-speed manual transmission with E-Clutch that automatically controls clutch operation without the need for the rider to operate the clutch lever — guaranteeing smooth starting and gear shifts.

Per Honda, the technology features a drive unit and motor control unit made up of two small motors and gears, and a three-part clutch lever shaft for moving the clutch lifter piece and an engine control electronic control unit that operates in conjunction with the former in response to data sent from various sensors.

Complementing the motorcycle’s ease of use are its low seat height (690 millimeters), and low center of gravity making it easy to ride.

The aforementioned motorcycle can be had in Matte Black Metallic and Pearl Smoky Gray.

 

However, those who would like to get this two-wheeler (which carries a $5,349-retail price [around P311,000>), needs to ship it from abroad as it will become available in the United States come December this year.

Honda Rebel in PH

Honda Philippines Incorporated (the brand’s distributor of motorcycles in the country) only retails the following Rebel models in 500 and 1100-cc options.

The Honda Rebel 500 is fitted with a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, DOHC parallel twin 471-cc engine mated to a slipper clutch.

On the other hand, the Honda Rebel 1100 boasts a liquid-cooled, four-stroke, eight-valve parallel twin 1,084-cc powertrain with two-multiplate wet clutch system.
