Honda PH formally unveils all-new PCX160

MANILA: Honda Philippines Incorporated (HPI) has officially launched the all-new PCX160 in the country.

The scooter offering — that carries a “Truly Exceptional” slogan — features updated looks to match the new technologies and enhanced comfort.

To easily distinguish it from the previous version, the all-new Honda PCX160 comes with a new design for its head- and taillights that complements its new handlebar cover.

The major upgrade that the two-wheeler received is the RoadSync program that allows riders to control smartphone functions through voice commands and the switch in the handlebar. This can be monitored via the motorcycle’s five-inch digital meter panel.

Aside from that, the two-wheeler now boasts the following amenities:

• USB Type-C charger
• Passing light switch
• New rear suspension with sub-tank (for top-of-the-line option)
• Smart key system
• 30-liter underseat compartment
• Cast wheels (14-inch for the front and 13-inch for the rear) wrapped in tubeless tires

Powertrain

Providing power for the all-new Honda PCX160 is a four-stroke, four-valve, single overhead cam, liquid-cooled, gasoline-fed engine with eSP+ (Enhanced Smart Power plus) system.

The said mill has the capacity to dish out a peak churn of:

Paired with an automatic transmission, the motorcycle’s  powertrain can do 46 kilometers per liter (based on World Motorcycle Test standards).

Further, the all-new Honda PCX160 is equipped with a suspension system consisting of a telescopic (front) and twin shocks (back) as well as hydraulic disc brakes to ensure the motorcycle’s stability and controllability.
