Kawasaki unveils the brand new naked Ninja Z400

MANILA: The Japanese automaker, Kawasaki has introduced the naked Z400, a streetfighter version of the Ninja 400. The brand new Z400 is equipped with the canyon-carving equipment. The price for the 2019 Ninja Z400 is marked at Php 252,053.

Earlier this year, the automaker had replaced the outgoing Ninja 300 with the brand new Ninja 400 to meet the Euro 4 standards.

The 2019 Kawasaki Z400, the naked version the Ninja 400 is equipped with a parallel-twin 399 cc engine having a 32 mm throttle body. The motor capable of churning out a maximum 44 PS of power and a peak torque of 38 Nm. Both the maximum power and torque come at 9,900 rpm and 8,000 rpm, respectively.

The 2019 Kawasaki Z400 is based on the Ninja’s signature steel trellis frame. It is available in two different color options - Candy Cardinal Red with Metallic Flat Spark Black, and Candy Lime Green with Metallic Spark Black. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels and has 43 mm telescopic front forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear managing the suspension duties. The vehicle comes with a fuel tank which can handle 14-litres at once.

Speaking of braking, the 2019 Kawasaki Z400 comes with dual disc brakes on the front as well as the rear. The front disc measures 310 mm and features Nissin dual-piston calliper while the rear disc is of 220 mm. The motorcycle also features dual-channel ABS (Anti-lock Braking System).

There is some styling equipment that differentiates the 2019 Ninja Z400 from its sibling Ninja 400. The Z400 does not get the fairings like the Ninja 400. The two-wheeler comes with the similar seat height of 785 mm as the Ninja 400 and features wide handlebars. The footpegs have also been moved forward which makes riding position of the Z400 much more comfortable.
